If your class is not able to visit us, our trained museum educators will visit your classroom! Educational outreach programs are in development for topics including The American Revolution, The American Civil War, World War I, World War II, propaganda, historical research methods, and source literacy. Programs are hands-on and interactive, using a variety of primary- and secondary-source documents, period images, and reproduction artifacts. A list of the curriculum standards met by each program is available upon request.
Outreach programs last 45 minutes with additional time for questions. The fee is $165 per group, with no charge for Newport News Public Schools.
